Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the GridSubmit DNO application service. By submitting an application or enquiry through this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
GridSubmit is operated from:
GridSubmitFlat 15, Heather Court
Mountain Ash Close

What we do
GridSubmit prepares and submits DNO applications (G98 notifications and G99 applications) to Distribution Network Operators on behalf of solar installers and homeowners in the United Kingdom. We also retrieve and forward export MPAN numbers once issued by the DNO.
We act as an agent submitting applications on your behalf. We do not make decisions on behalf of the DNO and cannot guarantee the outcome or timeline of any application, as these are determined solely by the relevant DNO.
Your responsibilities
By submitting an application through GridSubmit, you confirm that:
- All information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the authority to submit the application for the installation address provided.
- You have obtained any necessary consents from the property owner or occupier where applicable.
- Any documents or files you upload are yours to share and do not infringe any third-party rights.
Inaccurate information may result in DNO rejection, delays, or additional fees. GridSubmit is not liable for rejections or delays caused by incomplete or incorrect information provided by the customer.
Fees and payment
Our fees are set out on the Pricing page. Fees are due at the point of submission or in accordance with any agreed plan or invoicing arrangement. We reserve the right to update our pricing with reasonable notice.
All prices are quoted in GBP and are subject to VAT where applicable.
Turnaround times
Indicative turnaround times are provided for guidance only. G98 notifications are typically acknowledged by the DNO within 24–48 hours of a complete and accurate submission. G99 applications are subject to the DNO's own review timelines and may take significantly longer.
GridSubmit will chase applications and keep you updated, but cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the DNO.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel an application before it has been submitted to the DNO, please contact us as soon as possible. A cancellation fee may apply to cover preparation work already completed. Once an application has been submitted to the DNO, it cannot be cancelled by GridSubmit and you should contact the DNO directly.
Limitation of liability
GridSubmit's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific application in question. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including losses arising from DNO delays, rejections, or changes in DNO requirements.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, design, and graphics, is owned by GridSubmit or its licensors. You may not reproduce or repurpose any content without our written permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
